Cape Town, 14 October 2004 – Standard Bank, one of
Africa’s leading banking groups, has selected the world’s
leading account management system, Fair Isaac Corporation’s
TRIAD® adaptive control system, to replace the Bank’s existing
credit cards risk management software.
TRIAD has become the global-standard account strategy solution
for consumer credit grantors. It provides sophisticated risk
management functionality, including modules for behaviour
scoring, Champion-Challenger strategy testing, and
authorisations, credit limit and delinquent collections
management.
TRIAD is designed to leverage data, analytics and business
expertise and will offer Standard Bank the flexibility and
predictive power needed to meet the ever-increasing demands of
the challenging South African banking environment. A team of PIC
Solutions consultants will assist with the design,
implementation and ongoing management of TRIAD in the Standard
Bank Card Division, ensuring that the Bank remains at the
leading-edge of credit card risk management technology.
Douglas Walker, Director of Card Credit at Standard Bank states,
"We have enjoyed a close working relationship with PIC
Solutions for a number of years and we are excited about the
benefits that TRIAD will bring to our Card Division. This
world-class risk management technology will ensure that our
credit card strategies and policies will now effectively give us
a competitive edge in our increasingly competitive marketplace.”
Stephen Leonard, Managing Director at PIC Solutions adds, “TRIAD
is the global standard for account management solutions and is
used to control over 75% of the world’s credit cards. We look
forward to working closely with Standard Bank to ensure that
TRIAD delivers the same benefits as it has at over 150 credit
card issuers all over the world. The PIC Solutions TRIAD team
consults with 11 TRIAD clients in South Africa and has delivered
over 50 assignments internationally.”
