Assignments may be conducted on a stand-alone project basis, with fixed costs and agreed deliverables and milestones, or as part of an on-going retainer based contract.

Typically, assignments will involve project management, on-site investigation, analysis of available information, formulation of findings and recommendations, report writing, and presentation of results.

The Senior Consultant is the primary liaison with consulting clients, in regards to day-to-day service, project requirements and scheduling, delivery and results analysis. They will be responsible for ensuring that the client’s expectations are realised successfully, to budget and timetable.

Senior Consultants are expected to contribute and participate in industry conferences and the position requires travel to client and alliance partner sites in South Africa and the EMEA Region.

PIC Solutions provide consulting solutions to clients in South Africa and the EMEA region from offices based in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Lead individual and team consulting assignments

  • Providing business consulting advice to a wide range of consumer credit organisations, domestically and internationally

  • Leading and project managing assignments

  • Ownership of multiple large client contracts including initiating, planning and delivering client assignments

  • Developing close relationships with clients to identify additional areas for development and assistance

  • Coaching and mentoring consultants

  • Working closely with other internal departments on joint projects, such as analytics, modelling or software teams on client delivery or internal development projects

  • Knowledge management and sharing internally

  • Providing sales and marketing support e.g. statements of work and proposals

  • Contributing and participating in industry conferences

Experience

  • Ideally the candidate should have a breadth and depth of knowledge covering the entire credit life cycle from initial marketing to account origination through to a full range of customer/account management processes/strategies such as:

    Credit limit management
    Authorisations policies
    Collections management
    Credit product terms and conditions/pricing
     

  • This would have typically been acquired through employment at retail banks or other lending institutions

Education

  • Ideally a ideally a BA/BSc in business, economics, statistics, or related field

  • Ideally credit industry qualifications
